Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner

I am a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who provides psychiatric assessment and medication management. I graduated from Frontier Nursing University with my master’s degree in nursing, with a specialty in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and am licensed in both MN and IL and I also hold a current DEA certificate. I see patients across the lifespan, from children through adults. I have a special interest and passion for being accessible and supporting people in neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities. I also really enjoy working with children and their families and helping them during times of change.

I have over eight years of diverse experience in the medical field, including being the Director of Nursing at a nonprofit psychiatric treatment facility where I managed the care and needs of patients with acute onset psychosis, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, autism, PTSD, substance use disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and difficulties with emotional and behavioral regulation.

I believe in creating a safe, collaborative, sensitive, and personalized treatment approach based on each patient's unique needs, beliefs, and preferences. I value the strengths of the neurodivergent community and recognize the importance of listening to lived experiences. I strive to create an environment where all patients feel comfortable expressing themselves, and I serve as an advocate for all of my patients. If a patient is interested in an alternative to psychotropic medication, I customize treatment plans that address exercise, diet, sleep quality, vitamin/herbal supplementation, and other alternative methods.
